Trick or Treat

As trick-or-treating is winding down in my neighborhood, it looks like I'm going to be left with A LOT of candy...and I'm not just talking about the snack size candy... I'm talking about lots of full size candy bars:

That's right, I'm one of the full size candy bar giver-outers -- the same candy goldmines I dreamed about finding on Halloween as a kid. And I think it's super fun to pass on my full-size-candy-bar-house dreams to other kids now.

Are there any Halloween traditions/fun memories that you've continued through the years?

Before I go, I want to send a BIG thank you shout-out to Jen, the awesome blogger/writer @ Unedited! She went on a scavenger hunt to track down my Hallmark Halloween card in her hometown... not only did she find it & buy one, she sent me these FABULOUS pictures below! Thanks, Jen! You're awesome!!

Hope everyone is having a very Happy Halloween!

I wish I could have come trick or treating at your house! That's awesome that you give out full sized candy bars, I might have to start doing that when I have my own place.

I also got my prize pack in the mail today! It arrived just in time for NaNo! The card is adorable and the bookmarks make me really excited for your book! Thank you!

I love your card and I think it's great Jen went out and found them at a store, what a wonderful idea.

As to the question, our tradition has always been a make your own costume instead of buying them, they always seem to be so much more creative that way, and a lot of times better than store bought.

We had 200 trick or treaters. I would have needed to take a loan to do the full on candy bar

Medeia - Thanks! It's dangerous to have so many leftover candybars!

Paige - Woohoo!!! I'm so glad you got your package! You're welcome! Hope you enjoy it!

Meredith - I hope so & thanks!!

Jen - LOL - you're already famous at your own blog, Miss I-have-a-million-followers! :)

T. Knowley - What a great tradition! I wish I could see pics of some of your creative costumes!

Eilleen - 200?!?! Whoa! That's a lot of kids! I had about a quarter of that, thank goodness!
