Snowpalooza 2010

Yesterday I saw a family of abominable snowmen looking at the house for sale across the street. Okay, not really, but there's snow out the wazoo in the Philadelphia area. Major highways were shut down yesterday - SHUT DOWN! Do you understand the snow absurdity that has to take place in order to shut a major highway down? Honestly, I haven't seen this much snow since I lived in Upstate NY. So, seeing that I'm snowed in against my will, the least I can do is blog about it and share some Snowpalooza aftermath photos with you, my blog world friends. Happy Snowshoeing!

A winter wonderland...

My indoor cats wondering: What the catnip is all that white stuff?!?

The adventures of Snowdog!

The adventures of Mini Snowdog...

The magical disappearing grill...

Forget Where's Waldo... Where's the mailbox???

Neighborhood whiteout...

Snowpalooza out the garage door...

The magical disappearing patio furniture...

The partially dug out doggy trail...

On a snowed in happy note, it's been a productive writing/editing week and Survivor Heroes vs. Villains starts tonight! Yay!

Not to mention, I'll be getting my weekly dose of Tim Gunn on Project Runway tonight... Double yay!!

Take that, Abominable Snowman! Non-abominable folks can have fun too!

Wow! That's a lot of snow. It's so pretty to look at, just not so great having to live with it when it covers everything.

Okay, I know Adriana just said it, but when I looked at your photos, I said: "Wow! That's a lot of snow!"

My brother in New Jersey snapped a photo of a snow sculpture my talented nephew (age 8) made of the "Snow-Titanic." It was practically lifesize. Really! There was that much snow.

Unbelievable.

Yes, we got hammered with snow!

Adriana - It's really fun and beautiful to look at...until I have to try to drive in it.

Kathy - I want to see that picture! I'm sure there was enough snow to make it life-size! I've been dying to go out there and play in it myself!

Lisa Marie - Thanks for following my blog! I can't believe Philadelphia beat out upstate NY! I never thought that would happen. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that Snowpalooza doesn't travel up your way. :)

I can't believe how much snow we got. Your pictures almost look like my backyard. I think I may have to get out of the house today though. The kids have about had it and no writing has taken place--everyone is frustrated--even my cats:)
Pretty background!

Christine - I hear you on trying to get out of the house today! I definitely have cabin fever, and am hoping to make an attempt to escape today also. :) Thanks for following my blog!

Hi Amy! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Congrats on your upcoming publication!!!! Sooo exciting!!! :D

I am from the Philly area and now living in central NJ - I posted a few snow pics, too... it looks just like that here, too! Crazy stuff!

Hi Lindsey! Thanks for checking out my blog too! And thanks for congratulating me - I'm very excited about my upcoming book... it's almost surreal to me!

The pictures on your blog look like my yard! My brother lives in NJ too and he didn't get half as much as you did. Seems like certain parts of PA and NJ got slammed and other parts were spared. Oh-well... at least it's pretty to look at! :)

Your snowdogs are cuties!

I actually had to drive up to Scranton and through the Poconos yesterday, and was nervous about what the roads would be like, but they were fine. They actually got a lot less snow up there. Such a strange winter.
