Lipstick Lowdown #4

It's February 4th today...so that means it's exactly TWO months until the release of The Lipstick Laws. It also means that it's time for Lipstick Lowdown #4, to help me count down to my book launch and celebrate all things lipstick!

Seeing that February is the month of love and Valentine's Day, I figured I'd post an extra sweet Lipstick Lowdown recipe today. Try getting some sweet kisses from your honey on the 14th (or just enjoy the lip smacking yumminess yourself) while wearing this chocolate lipstick:

Heavenly Chocolate Gloss (from the book Lipstick A Celebration of the World's Favorite Cosmetic by Jessica Pallingston)
Ingredients
1 & 1/2 teaspoons grated cocoa butter
1/2 teaspoon vitamin E oil
1/2 teaspoon coconut oil
1/2 teaspoon grated chocolate (or three small chocolate chips)
Directions
Carefully heat cocoa butter, coconut oil, and vitamin E oil in the microwave. Slowly stir in chocolate and continue melting. Stir the mixture from time to time until it's very well blended, returning it to the microwave as needed. Pour into a small container and allow to cool. Enjoy!

Also, for you lipstick & gloss lovers out there, Elf Cosmetics is having a fabulous sale for the next few days. Use coupon code 50LIPS to get half off of all lip products until Monday, the 7th.

I hope you'll join me next month for my final Lipstick Lowdown post before my book launch - woohoo!

***If you haven't entered my current giveaway, make sure to check it out and enter HERE for a chance to win an ARC of The Lipstick Laws, two gift cards & lots of other goodies. It's open to international participants & ends on Valentine's Day. Good luck!***
